We use your information solely to provide our service:
- To prepare your appeal letter: Your citation info, statement, and address are used to generate and format your letter
- To print and mail your letter: We use Lob, a printing and mailing service, to physically send your letter
- To process payment: Stripe securely handles your payment
- To improve our service: Anonymous analytics help us understand how people use the site
- To respond to inquiries: If you contact us, we use your information to respond
3. Information Sharing
We share your information only with the following third parties, solely as necessary to provide our service:
- Lob (Mailing Service): Receives your letter content and addresses to print and mail your appeal
- Stripe (Payment Processing): Processes your payment securely
- DeepSeek (AI Formatting): Your statement text is sent for AI-assisted formatting — they do not store your data
We do NOT sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary:
- Appeal Data: Retained for 90 days after mailing in case you need support, then automatically deleted
- Payment Records: Retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years)
- Server Logs: Retained for 30 days for security purposes
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption)
- Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant Stripe
- Server access is restricted and monitored
- We do not store full credit card numbers
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
